Trilogy Studios is seeking accomplished Flash Engineers to work with a team of programmers on all aspects of game and virtual world development technology on the project from pre-production (technical design doc) to final code archive. The ideal candidates will have excellent generalist skills writing medium to complex systems such as character interaction, world management, and various other game-play features. Applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, major emphasis will be placed on the ability to search through existing code frameworks to edit, implement and test additional features. Strong knowledge of Action Script necessary. Experience working on shipped titles in the online/virtual world or MMO space preferred. Position reports directly to Technical Director.
Other Responsibilities
- Skillfully produce websites and enterprise applications using Flash and Actionscript
- Develop high-volume traffic websites
- Take client requests and analyze needs to create fast loading, clear & creative ideas for business to consumer websites
- Produce coherent and detailed project plans
- Collaborate with other Flash developers, Java developers, Business analysts, Graphic designers and a Project Management team
Minimum Requirements
- Flash 8/9 and Actionscript 2 and 3
- Strong knowledge of OOP Architectures
- Clear understanding of XML
- Strong HTML design & coding
- JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, JAVA, Perl
- Experience with Flash XML and Flash Remoting
- Working knowledge of creative media tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
Desired Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in entertainment software, casual MMO environments
- Knowledge of Flex, C++, C#, Java
- Team-oriented approach to development
- Passion for video games and broad knowledge of titles and mechanics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strongly prefer candidates who are avid gamers and know the competition and high quality bar.
