Trilogy Studios enters Fourth Year in Business

Trilogy Studios, leading high-end developer of virtual worlds and casual MMO (massively multiplayer online) game properties announced today it has entered its fourth year in business. Videogame industry veterans, Michael Pole and Rick Giolito, founded Trilogy Studios in 2005. The company’s mission: help media companies promote and monetize their content libraries by creating virtual theme parks where consumers can celebrate their hobbies and passions.

“Rick and I are very proud to be celebrating Trilogy Studios’ fourth year in business,” said Michael Pole, CEO of Trilogy Studios. “When founding the company, it was our goal to leverage our years of videogame development experience to elevate the entertainment value of virtual worlds and casual MMOs. To do so we went out and hired some of the finest talent in the entertainment and videogame industry.”

Trilogy Studios currently employs 36 people at its Sherman Oaks headquarters, making more than a dozen new hires since the beginning of the year. Trilogy has attracted the finest talent from such market-leading videogame companies as Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive, Rock Star Games and Vivendi Games. In addition to expanding its business domestically, Trilogy recent announced a partnership with Shanghai-based UltiZen Games, to grow the company’s online game development capabilities abroad.

From concept to actualization, Trilogy takes a comprehensive and collaborative approach to every project, putting equal enthusiasm and innovation into strategy, game design and creative implementation. The team’s deep talent, creativity and experience give it the clear edge over the competition.

“Our goal was to inject traditional next-gen videogame sensibilities and methodologies concerning game play and production pipelines into the casual games space,” said Rick Giolito, president of Trilogy Studios. “Our approach has allowed our clients to recognize that ‘casual’ can be every bit as engaging and entertaining as hard core offerings.” Rick added, “It’s clear that explosive growth in the game space is in the direct-to-consumer casual genre where people can explore their passions and live out their fantasy lives. We’re incredibly well positioned for the future.”
