Former Disney Interactive Studios Technical Lead Will Oversee Company’s Technical Department
Trilogy Studios, leading high-end developer of virtual worlds and casual MMO (massively multiplayer online) game properties, announced today a new addition to the company’s management, former Disney Interactive Studios technical lead Britt Morris. In this new role as technical director of Trilogy Studios, Morris will spearhead the technical vision, design and implementation of Trilogy Studios’ online initiatives.
“After leading the online technology department at the global internal studio and actively working in multimedia, Britt has a deep understanding of development philosophies,” said Michael Pole, Chairman and CEO of Trilogy Studios. “His experience will really benefit Trilogy Studios as we work to expand the casual MMO space and elevate the entertainment value of our virtual worlds.”
Prior to joining Trilogy Studios, Britt Morris served as technical lead for Disney Interactive Studios (DIS), where he oversaw the technical design for all of the studio’s online projects. At DIS, Morris worked closely with Disney Online and was the driving force behind the groundbreaking DGamer community platform on the Nintendo DS. Additionally, Morris served as chief of technology for bH Development, LLC and director of engineering for Sega.
“Michael Pole and Rick Giolito are two of the most creative and forward-thinking people in the industry. I trust in their vision, so when they asked me to join the Trilogy team, I jumped at the opportunity,” said Britt Morris. “Virtual Worlds provide an opportunity to breakdown physical and social barriers, and now that opportunity is more accessible than ever before. I’m excited to get involved with a studio that is committed to pushing the limits of the industry.”
